Animal licensing tabled indefinitely

Even the Spalding County Animal Care & Control Advisory Board was against its proposal to require licenses for dogs and cats.

After hearing from eight residents opposed to the proposed fee at Monday’s meeting attended by more than 20 people, the advisory board voted unanimously to table pet licensing indefinitely, “until all other options are considered (for the problem of overpopulation),” said board member Jan McPhail.
