In a press release Wednesday, Spalding County Sheriff Wendell Beam said Pitts, wanted by authorities in connection with the shooting incident at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park on March 23, turned himself in at the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office at 1:30 p.m. March 29.
Pitts has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, participation in a criminal street gang, possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18 and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
