What a beautiful park we have! The enchanting woodlands, vast, rolling meadows and picturesque lakes are enough to propel Spalding County above everything six counties in any direction have to offer their citizens and visitors.
Imagine we Spalding County residents and our guests having the opportunity to spend a day fishing or hiking merrily o’er hill and dale with our beloved pets or simply lazing in the shade beneath a stately, ancient oak. Oh, what a dream come true!
But alas, these hundreds and hundreds of acres lie restricted and inaccessible behind lock and chain link in a manner akin to the avaricious old Fagin’s treasures being held tightly within his bony, hoarding arms as he shouts, “It’s all I have to live on in my old age!” No one dares venture into this fantastic landscape, though — for to do so would be to risk a pepper-scented escort across town from our High Sheriff.
But I can dream, can I not? I can dream that my little Gizmeaux and I can soon (I’m thinking Easter Sunday afternoon) do a little fishing or run around or take a shaded nap on the grounds of The Park at Green Valley — can I not?
