As the Kiwanis Club of Griffin is gearing up for its annual Kiwanis One Day on March 31, Spalding County Extension Services Agent and Kiwanis member Wade Hutcheson offered club members an update on this year’s project — revamping the Outdoor Learning Lab at the Stepping Stones Educational Therapy Center on Futral Road — at the Kiwanis Club meeting on Wednesday.

“This One Day will be a little different than previous ones,” said Hutcheson. “It can’t all happen in one day.”

In preparation for the Kiwanis One Day, club volunteers have already completed concrete walkways to make it easier for children in wheelchairs to access the Outdoor Learning Lab and avoid bringing mud inside the building after a rainy day, Hutcheson said.
