The Spalding High boys golf team ran its record to 3-0 Wednesday afternoon as it defeated Region 4-AAA foe Jackson High 150-218 at the Griffin Country Club. It was the region opener for the Spalding High Jaguars.

Tye Waller led the Jaguars with a score of 33, followed by Parker Plageman and Carson Willis with 38 each, Jake Harpe with 41 and Landon Colwell chipped in with a 41 as well.

“It was a pretty good match for us and I think we’ll continue to try and get better as the season goes on,” said Jags head coach Rusty Hudson.

The Jags get back into the swing of things next week against crosstown rival Griffin High (March 14, 4 p.m. at City Park) and Newnan (March 15, 4 p.m. at the Newnan Country Club).
