Spalding County is considering revisions to its noise ordinance, but will need a workshop to work out some of the details.

At Monday’s meeting the Spalding County Board of Commissioners voted to table proposed changes. The board also heard from Spalding County Sheriff Wendell Beam and a local business owner concerned about how the changes would impact his business.

Steve Harless, owner of Party Tunezz, said the proposal as written is “way too vague, everyone would have to get a permit to have a party outside.”

As a mobile disc jockey, he said every time he did an event outside he would have to go before the commissioners to get a permit. He said that “would cost lots of time and energy.”
