An 18-year-old black male came to the Griffin Police Department (GPD) on West Poplar Street Friday morning to report that he had been robbed several hours earlier, according to a GPD incident report.

The victim, who lives in Forest Park and was in Griffin to visit, reported that he was approached by a black Ford Explorer at about 2 a.m. that day in the area of Melrose Avenue and Lyndon Avenue. Two black males with braided hair — one short, one tall, both estimated to be between 17 and 20 years old — exited the vehicle.
