Griffin Police Department (GPD) on Wednesday responded to a burglary at 104 Coach Drive.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were told by the victim — a 33-year-old black female — that she had been staying with her mother lately due to her power being turned off. At about 10:45 a.m. that morning, she received a call from her neighbors asking her if the back door of her residence was supposed to be open. The victim said it wasn’t and returned to her residence on Coach Drive.

According to a GPD incident report, each room of her residence was in disarray, with drawers open and dumped on the floor and couches flipped over. Also, a decorative brick appeared to have been thrown from the outside into the dining room, officers noted.
