— If the city of Griffin can divert budgeted excess fuel money to a fund to ease the burden on employees, why can’t the school system do the same? Our school system will spend left-over budget money on needless equipment, vehicles, office furniture, computers and whatever else they can think of. We the little people with the $15,000 to $30,000 salaries are hurting financially.

— Enough about the people leaning over their buggies, that is none of your business. Meet me somewhere, and maybe we can make you walk like we do. You are a very cruel person, and I hope the GDN will quit publishing your comments. I bet you are ugly, too.

— I will not support the T-SPLOST for the following reasons: First, all the projects seem to benefit a small amount of people.

Second, we do not need commuter rail — who will use it? Third, we don’t need a new airport (again, only for a few rich with airplanes). Fourth, our biggest traffic problem is the Georgia 92/U.S. 41 area and nothing is addressed to that area.

— Am I the only subscriber who gets annoyed when the carrier delivers a self-addressed Christmas card with the paper?

— Every time someone gets a tattoo, the devil smiles.

— I noticed the school administrators have formed five task forces to look at ways to cut costs, but not one of them is to examine the staffing of the central office or the top-heavy administration itself. If the school board really is serious about cutting out waste, it should look at the administrative positions in each school as well as the central office.

— When Urban Meyer quit his job as Florida football coach, he said it was because he wanted to spend more time with his family. Now, he has taken the job of Ohio State coach. Apparently he found out that his family isn’t that great.

Please keep your religious dogma out of my skin decorations. Tattoos have been a part of religious and cultural traditions since well before the time of your Christ.
