Former Griffin High baseball player and current Houston Astros minor-league outfielder Telvin Nash will provide hitting, fielding, throwing and footwork lessons from Nov. 2011 until Feb. 14, 2012 for boys and girls ages 7-18. The purpose of the lessons will be to teach the youth the proper way to hit, field and throw to become better at baseball and to have fun at the same time.

Nash will provide lessons at the Center Field complex in Zebulon, Ga. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The start times will be after school’s out during those particular weekdays and in the early afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays. The cost is $60 per session. Nash helped the Griffin High Bears baseball team reach the state finals in 2008 and led them into the playoffs in 2009.
