Two local businesses were burglarized and robbed, respectively, over the weekend, according to the Griffin Police Department (GPD).

The first incident took place early Friday morning at Little Caeser’s Pizza on North Expressway. According to a GPD incident report, a surveillance video of the burglary showed two white males looking at the rear coolers of the store about two minutes after midnight. The males then could be seen leaving and returning about 20 minutes later with a crowbar.

The suspects removed the air conditioner at the rear door and accessed the store, where they entered the indoor cooler, ate several pieces of pepperoni and finally attempted get gain access to the store safe. After this appeared unsuccessful, the suspects left Little Caeser’s at about 1:11 a.m.
