A domestic dispute earlier this week at the residence at 725 Hammock St. ended with Angel Ambels receiving injuries that required treatment at Spalding Regional Medical Center.

According to an incident report by the Griffin Police Department, Ambels, 39, said that she was talking to her boyfriend, Christopher Wright, 44, on her back porch when an argument developed over how to discipline her child.

Ambels told Wright that it was none of his business because the child wasn’t his. According to her statement in the report, Ambels was then pushed over the railing of the back porch by Wright. After she hit the ground, Wright came down and hit her in the face, Ambels said.

When police arrived at the scene, Ambels was holding her right shoulder, and her right eye was swollen. Officers also found some of her hair on the ground.

By then, Wright had left the residence. When officers asked Ambels where he lived, she said he stayed at different locations. During a later visit by police at the hospital, Ambels said she didn’t want to press charges against Wright.

Turn him in- don't become a different sort of statistic or worse, the subject of an obituary.

When no charges are made you are giving the abuser permission to continue.
