Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) is hosting its fourth annual Fall Festival today from 5 to 7 p.m. on its Griffin campus on Varsity Road. Sponsored by the college’s Student Government Association, the event is free and open to the public.

Visitors are invited to take campus tours and learn more about the various programs SCTC offers, as representatives of those programs will be on site during the festival. In fact, the college is waiving the $15 application fee for anyone who completes and submits an application during the event.

Those more interested in food and entertainment can enjoy free hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn and games. Plus, the college’s basketball teams — the Tigers and the Lady Tigers — will make an appearance along with cheerleaders, as the first game of the season — on Tuesday against Gordon College — is approaching.

“This is a recruiting event and an opportunity to show our appreciation to the community,” said SCTC Director of Marketing and Public Relations Anna Taylor. “We really enjoy opening up the campus to the public and sharing information about our college.”
