Hospital Authority awards grants worth $1.125 million

The Griffin-Spalding County Hospital Authority has awarded nine local not-for-profit organizations with grants for 2012, giving out a total of $1.125 million. The Hospital Authority made that decision during a meeting Monday after having received 20 grant applications.

The nine organizations benefitting from grant money are the Council on Aging, the school nurses program of the Griffin-Spalding County School System, the Five Loaves Two Fish Food Pantry, the Griffin-Spalding Literacy Commission, the Hope Health Clinic, Midway Recovery, The Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Club, the Spalding Samaritans and the Spalding County Board of Health.
