City to trim trees to prevent more outages

The recent power outages in the southeast part of the city are due to damage to lines caused by trees, city officials said.

Griffin Power Director Bill Bosch said the power lines in the area of College Street and Old Macon Road “are involved with a great number of trees.”

And the trees and limbs come down for many reasons, Bosch said.
