The Griffin Technical College Foundation hosted its sixth annual Red Carpet Gala on Saturday at Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) in Griffin, raising money to support student scholarships, campus expansion and other needs of the college not covered by state funds. While the total amount raised is not yet known, officials believe Saturday’s event was a big success, with a capacity crowd in attendance, as 321 tickets were sold at a price of $85 each.
