— Georgia has gone from having HOPE to almost being HOPEless.
— Has the question been answered on why gas is 10 to 15 cents cheaper outside of Spalding County?
— The previous and present county commissioners continue to embarrass Spalding County with their lack of foresight and their inability to judge the consequences of their actions. They let the county manager go, they don’t know enough to know the interim manager isn’t going to take the job, they have to start the recruiting process all over again, and a year later they are now interviewing the manager they let go.
— I like reading the My 2 Cents and the comments on The Griffin Daily News Web site because it’s nice to see what the village idiots are thinking. One of my favorite comments recently was a reader calling people “stupid and ill bread.”
— People who are against hunting are un-American.
— The 4 a.m. sleeping quiet of our usually peaceful neighborhood was shattered by the high-pitched yowls of fighting or mating cats. It’s hard to tell the difference. In March, a low-cost spay and neuter clinic is being offered. For the love of cats, please have your pets fixed. Your cats and your neighbors will appreciate it.
— The HOPE scholarships are a “free ride”? Educating our young people is an investment in the future of our country, not just the individual students. We see the consequences of ignorance and stupidity around us everywhere — such as clear-cutting trees for billboards, and cutting the HOPE scholarships.
— To all gas station drive-offs who believe their gas is written off as an expense. It’s not. The employee who authorized your pump now has to pay for your gas. So because you are a lowlife and care about no one but yourself, that employee now has had to work most of one day to pay for your gas. Therefore, one of their bills won’t get paid.
