“We are excited about our challenge that has been set for us, but we know we must concentrate on one meet at a time,” said Lady Jags head coach Dolores Owen. “We are a very young team this year. We graduated some big names last year, including Stanariel Phinazee (now at Georgia State), Shakeva Richards (Old Dominion) and Shay Wright (Darton).”
Because of her injury she sustained over the summer, Nock may be out for at least the first meet of the season. She is going to visit her doctor today.
Spalding’s first meet is March 5 at Lamar County High School at 9 a.m.
