STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Jahmiya Clemons scored 21 points and Makenda Lindsey added 14 to lead third-place Griffin High in a 53-45 loss Tuesday night at second-place Woodland in Region 3-AAAA Division A girls basketball.

It was the third region loss for Griffin (11-8 overall, 5-5 subregion) in its last four region games, while Woodland-Stockbridge (16-5 overall, 8-3 subregion) won its second in the last three games.

Griffin trailed 11-10 at the end of the first quarter, but led 28-25 at the half and 39-36 going into the fourth quarter where they were outscored 17-6 as Woodland swept the regular season series by a combined 12 points.

The Lady Bears wrap up the regular season with games Friday at Dutchtown and Saturday at home against Jones County before the region tournament begins Feb. 10 at Woodland.
