Authorities say deputies from the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday responded to a call at 410 Forsyth-Yatesville Road.
Upon arrival, 40-year-old Debra Pippin, who lives at that address, was located. She was unresponsive at that time.
Emergency medical technicians responded to the scene and Pippin was pronounced dead.
The Lamar County coroner was called to the scene and Pippin’s body was subsequently transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab, where an autopsy will be performed.
Waller said the investigation into Pippin’s death is ongoing.
