Mrs. Alice Adams Brumbalow Stanton, 83, of Meansville, Ga., passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011.

Mrs. Stanton was born in Atlanta on Feb. 26, 1927, to the late Johnnie Hughsten Adams and the late Pauline Annetta Rogers Adams. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emory Brumbalow, son, Allen Brumbalow, daughter-in-law, Becky Brumbalow. She was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God, and a retired librarian with the Pike County School System. Mrs. Stanton was a devoted and loving Christian lady who was very active in church, the choir, as well as Georgia District Assembly of God, and the Assembly of God Youth Camp, where she mentored young people. She loved spending time with her family and crocheting.

Survivors include husband, Elmer Stanton; sons and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Roger Brumbalow of Macon, the Rev. Mark and Liz Brumbalow of Conyers, Michael Brumbalow of Hendersonville, N.C., Bruce Brumbalow of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Rochelle Brumbalow; grandchildren and spouses, Sheree Brumbalow of Griffin, Claire and the Rev. Clint Jett of Macon, the Rev. Keith and Christina Brumbalow of Griffin, Leigh and Larry Rahr of Pennsylvania, Blake and Mandy Brumbalow of Loganville; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Brumbalow Stanton will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Sheldon, the Rev. Clint Jett, the Rev. Mark Brumbalow and the Rev. Roger Brumbalow will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, Ga. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at the funeral home.
