Mr. Adams was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Thomaston, Ga. He graduated from LaGrange College and until his recent retirement, he worked with the family business.
Survivors include his parents, Jack Sr. and Gaye Adams; wife, Donna Adams, of Griffin; sisters, Nancy (John) Buchanan, of North Carolina, and Lana Jones, of Peachtree City; children, Beau Adams, of Griffin, Brandon (Gui Young) Adams, of South Korea, and Miss Brooke Adams, of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Blake and Anna Leigh Adams; stepchildren, Patricia Bailey (Joshua) Brown and Lee (Angela) Bailey, of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Jack B. Adams Jr. will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family from 1 p.m. to the service hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Mr. Adams be made to Five Loaves Two Fish Food Pantry, 215 W. Slaton Ave., Griffin, GA 30223; or to the Bolton Sunday School Class, in care of First Baptist Church, 106 W. Taylor St., Griffin, GA 30223.
