The Greenwish Woods neighborhood for 2012 chose CASA — Court Appointed Special Advocates — which advocates for abused and neglected children, as its charity of choice. CASA volunteer Elvina Allen, seated, and executive director June Nelson, standing, also are Greenwich Woods residents. The neighborhood acted as ‘Santa’ to six children, four of whom were placed in the same foster home. Greenwich residents asked for continued prayer and support for children from all of Troup County. • • • ‘Good for you’ recognizes individuals and groups for good deeds or personal achievement.
