The Piedmont Football League 11/12 Division finals were held Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Griffin. In a defensive battle, the Spalding Texans topped the Spalding Lions 2-0 on penetration in overtime.

SATURDAY

7/8 Division-Finals

Spalding Cowboys 13, Spalding Jaguars 6:

Serquavious Alsobrooks and Jaleel Chambliss each scored a touchdown and Cyncere Daniels added an extra point to lead the Cowboys to the championship in a game where all of the scoring took place in the fourth quarter.

5/6 Division-Finals

Yellow Jackets 26, Volunteers 6:

Cur’Tavian Clark led the Yellow Jackets and Robert Henderson III led the Volunteers in the title game.

NOV. 13

11/12 Division-Semifinals

Spalding Texans 26, Spalding Jets 6:

Zion Berry scored twice touchdowns and Rashaad Willis added another as the Texans grounded the Jets and punched their ticket to the title game. Berry and Dwaine Hollands each added an extra point to further the Texans’ cause.

Celsey Middlebrooks scored to lead the Jets against the eventual league champion Texans.

5/6 Division-Semifinals

Yellow Jackets 20, Tide 6:

Ricardo Crowder scored two touchdowns and Cur’Tavian Clark added another to lead the Yellow Jackets past the Tide and into the title game. Crowder and Makell Rolley each added an extra point to further the Jackets’ cause.

Jordan Parks scored to lead the Tide against the Yellow Jackets.

9/10 Division-Finals

Thomaston-Upson Bulldogs 16, Spalding 49ers 8:

Demarion Colbert and Xzavious Mathis scored a touchdown each to lead the Thomaston-Upson Bulldogs in the title game against the 49ers. Tanner Gilbert added an extra point to further the Bulldogs’ cause.

Rockdrez Yarbrough scored a touchdown in the first quarter to provide the 49ers with the early lead. However, by the time the team added to its total with a safety in the fourth quarter the Bulldogs had already amassed 16 points.
