The family and the Sheriff’s Office, said Sheriff Wendell Beam, are still looking for 58-year-old Gloria Jean Tyler Brownlee of Wilti Road, in easternmost Spalding County, across Interstate 75. Brownlee has been missing since July 4, and officials and family members are concerned about her health needs.
Brownlee suffers from Alzheimer’s and may be in a confused state of mind, Beam said. Brownlee left her residence at 101 Wilti Road in northeastern Spalding County at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, and has not been seen since.
Family members reported that Brownlee left the residence and possibly walked into the woods around the house. The Sheriff’s Office has searched the area with canine units, all-terrain vehicles and the departmental helicopter. Beam said last month that a statewide Mattie’s Call for her had been put out.
The missing woman is described as a black female, 58 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with short hair. However, she has been known to wear a wig with longer hair. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, black pants, polka-dot socks, and pink curlers in her hair.
Anyone with any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Brownlee is urged to contact Sgt. Sheryl Brown at 770-467-4282 or to call your local law enforcement agency.
