Despite rather hot weather conditions Wednesday, a large crowd flocked to the University of Georgia Griffin Campus on Experiment Street for the annual Turfgrass Field Day.

The event, which was hosted by UGA’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Science (CAES), attracted both private residents and those who deal with turfgrass professionally, such as golf course superintendents.

“We got a great day for a field day,” said UGA-Griffin’s Assistant Provost Jerry Arkin.

Arkin said the Turfgrass Field Day is packed with fun and educational information that will help attendees do their business even better. He praised CAES’ turfgrass team as one of the best in the country.
