When police officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with 51-year-old Leon Jenkins and 31-year-old Zachery Lewis Mathis, both of Griffin.
Jenkins told police that he went next door to purchase an alcoholic beverage from Mathis. He further stated that Mathis told him he would sell a beer for $2 — to which Jenkins responded he would pay $1.50 for that beer, but not $2.
Jenkins told officers that Mathis then punched him in his left eye with a closed fist, as officers noticed Jenkins’ left eye swollen shut.

This web page has been the SAME format since the day you began it. Why not change it up and maybe have a specific page just for police reports? Why does this stuff (usually a ver batum account of the police report) get posted on the front? Its ridiculous.
And while you are at it, why not post every comment as long as there is no vile language? Why do you take a politically correct stance when chosing what comments to post? That's not real journalism.
