According to a news release, Spalding Regional Hospital has received the Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association (AHA) for both heart failure and stroke. It is the third year that the hospital has been recognized with a quality achievement award.

This year’s recognition signifies that Spalding Regional has reached an exceptional goal of treating heart failure and stroke patients based on the guidelines of care recommended by the AHA and the American College of Cardiology.

The Get With The Guidelines program has helped staff for heart failure and strokes develop and implement acute and secondary prevention guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes.
