According to an informational memorandum provided by the school system at a recent Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education meeting, only the adult ticket price for middle school football games will change from $4 to $5.
The ticket price for the annual Griffin High-Spalding High varsity football game remains at $10 per person for adults, seniors and students. School system employees will receive complimentary tickets to that game if they present a valid ID badge in the office of either school prior to game day.
For the upcoming school year, the crosstown rivalry game is scheduled for Nov. 2 at Memorial Stadium.
All other high school football single games will cost $8 for adults and students and $6 for senior citizens. Season ticket prices for varsity football are $6 per game for adults and $5 per game for senior citizens — excluding playoff games, which will be sold separately.
Season ticket packages have been extended for the 2012-2013 school year and now include — in addition to varsity football — varsity basketball, varsity baseball, varsity soccer and varsity softball. Within those season packages, single-game ticket prices are $4 for adults and $3 for senior citizens.
Ticket prices for athletic events in the school system are considered each year for the following school year by the Griffin-Spalding Athletic Committee, which is composed of high school and middle school principals, high school and middle school athletic coordinators and central office administrators.
A complete list of ticket prices for athletic events in 2012-2013 will be publicized this month.
