Griffin Police responded to a residence on Experiment Street Monday to meet with a 58-year-old white male. According to an incident report by the Griffin Police Department (GPD), the male told officers that his home was invaded at about 3 p.m. the day before.

When officers went inside the residence — which the victim said had not been touched since the incident — they observed upturned furniture, broken glass and blood on the floor and walls — concluding that it was apparent a struggle had taken place.

The victim stated that he fought with two black males, who reportedly entered through an unlocked back door, wearing gloves and masks. He further stated that he used a piece of broken glass to strike one of the suspects in the torso several times.
