Mr. William Harold Daniel

Thomaston resident

Mr. William Harold Daniel, 77, of Thomaston, died Friday, January 18th, 2013 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Daniel was a native and life-long resident of Thomaston and Upson County, born on December 24th, 1935 to the late Thad Daniel and Iona Cox Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was employed by the American General Life Insurance Company until his retirement in 1998 after 33 years of service. He was a member and former president of the Thomaston Touchdown Club and was also a board member and president of the Thomaston Youth Football Association. Mr. Daniel was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Daniel; two sons, Greg (Michele) Daniel of Thomaston and Chris (Carol) Daniel of Milner; and five grandchildren, Tatum Daniel, Will Daniel, Kyle Daniel, Drew Daniel and Gracie Daniel.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel were held on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the First Assembly of God Church. Rev. Mark Fordham, Rev. John Raybon, Rev. Benny Tate and Rev. Bill Barber officiated and burial was in South View Cemetery.

Mr. Bobby D. Hill

July 10, 1947 – Jan. 22, 2013

Mr. Bobby D. Hill, age 65 of Pilot Point, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

Mr. Hill was born in Griffin, Ga., on July 10, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Hill and Frances Higgins; sister, Janice Kelley; brothers, Jimmy Hill and Glen Hill. Mr. Hill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sylvia Martin on May 5, 1989 in Pilot Point, Texas. Mr. Hill was director of Loss Prevention for Sally Beauty Company. He was a member of Grace Crossing Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Hill of Pilot Point, Texas; daughters, Donna Goings and husband, David of Woodstock, Ga., Beth Akin of Griffin, Ga.; sons, Chad Miller of Pilot Point, Texas, Chris Miller and wife, Nature of Pilot Point, Texas, Kevin Hill of Lawrence, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Bobby D. Hill will be on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Bobby Hill Mission Fund, c/o Grace Crossing, P.O. Box 641, Collinsville, TX 76233. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home no later than 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
