Mr. J.C. Parker

Mr. J.C. Parker, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Mr. Parker was born in Covington, Georgia on June 18, 1925. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Clark Parker and Marion Hickman Parker. Mr. Parker was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Kendrick Parker and daughter, Shirley Ridgeway, son, Jerry Parker. Mr. Parker retired from Dundee Mills after 43 years of service.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Terry and June Parker; daughter-in-law Diane Parker; grandchildren, Casey and Tammy Parker, Keith Parker, Scott and Ashley Parker, Andy Parker, Kathy and Marty Worley, Jamie and Lee Bramlett, Eric and Christie Trice; several great grandchildren.

Graveside Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00pm at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Molena. Pastor Clay Padgett will officiate. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday 1:00pm.

Mr. Edward T. Jones

Mr. Edward Troy (Ed) Jones, age 92 of Griffin, passed away at home on Monday, November 19, 2012 with his family at his side.

Ed was born on July 24, 1920 in Buford, Georgia to the late Lewis and Daisy Wright Jones. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1940 to 1945 in England, France, Belgium and Germany. Ed was employed at Willis Oil for 25 years, later owned and operated Petroleum Equipment Company. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Griffin, a former member of the Kiwanis Club and the Model A Restorers Club. He loved restoring model A Fords during his retirement.

Ed was preceded in death by brothers, Roy, Sam, Pete and Lowell Jones; sister, Thelma Abernathy. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joyce M. Jones; daughter Carla Hull of Griffin, daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Phillip White of Marietta; grandchildren, Chris and Tiffany Hull, Amy and Brian Watson of Griffin, Brandon and Elizabeth White of Raleigh, NC, Matt and Melissa White of Cumming; great grandchildren, Landry and Lawson Hull, Jack, Bennett and Hammond White; sisters-in-law, Nancy Mook of Brandon, FL, Barbara Welch of Arcadia, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Ed Jones will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Angels of Eternal Hope, 732 West Taylor Street, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mr. Jones.

Glenda Elizabeth Walden

Glenda Elizabeth Walden, age 51 of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Glenda was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 20, 1960.

Survivors include her mother, Maxine Harris; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheri and Sage Dean, Jenny and Josh Weldon; grandchildren, Ashton Carver, Owen Carver, Blake Weldon, Haylee Weldon; brothers, Ronnie Harris, Jerry Harris, Rick Golden, Randy Harris.

Visitation for Glenda Elizabeth Walden will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 9:30am until 11:00am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel. Reverend John Garland will officiate. Mr. Danny Pitts

Mr. Danny Ray Pitts, age 53 of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Christian Ministries Hospice.

Mr. Pitts was born March 10, 1958 in Spalding County, Georgia.

Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law Alisha and Samuel Cooley; granddaughter, Madison Cooley; mother and father, Nellie and James (Dude) Pitts; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Henry Miller; brother and sister-in-law, David and Robin Pitts; nieces and nephews, Abby and Brice Martin, Peyton and Margie Miller, Joshua Pitts and fiancée, Katie Brogdon, Elyse and Jeff Shaw; special cousin, Pam Berry; several other cousins and family.

Visitation for Mr. Danny Pitts will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 3:00pm until 4:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel. Dr. Randy Gregg will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
