Elizabeth (Libby) Marie Sansom Marlow, age 56 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Libby was born in Newark, New Jersey, on July 2, 1956. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Fay Hoffman-Slaton; sister, Linda Sansom; brother, Willis Clinton Sansom, Jr. Libby was a waitress with Waffle House and was involved with Hand In Hand Missions.

Survivors include her son, Archie Steven Allen, Jr.; granddaughter, Elizabeth McCord; sister, Lois Fay McPherson; brother, Roy William Sansom; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial services for Libby will be conducted on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Lois McPherson and Ann Taylor will officiate.

Gerald N. Bailey was born August 15, 1928, in Ludlow, Mo. A resident of Griffin, Georgia, he passed on to be with his Lord on Nov. 13, 2012.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at 11a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Jim Lane will officiate. Friends may visit the family Friday from 10–11 a.m.

He and his wife were members of the Sojourners organization and he served others by helping repair church buildings, youth camps and children’s homes and was known for his willingness to help others in need. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in memory of him be sent to Raintree Village Children’s Home in Valdosta, Georgia at 3757 Johnston Rd. Valdosta, GA 31601.

Mrs. Sandy Crawford Nicholson, 59, of Locust Grove, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.

Mrs. Nicholson was born in Pineville, La. on Sept.30, 1953. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Lee J Crawford and Dovie C. Duplissey Crawford; also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amanda Catherine Carter, sister, Pat Crawford Sweeney and nephew, Rob Sweeney. Mrs. Nicholson was a consultant with DCBA Inc. Sandy was a volunteer at the Calvin Center. She was an active member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, John E. Nicholson of Locust Grove; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Carley Carter of Puerto Rico, and Patrick Carter of Magnolia, Ark.; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Jason Dyke of Locust Grove, April Nicholson of Shreveport, La., Crystal and Wade Sheeley of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Kassandra, Joseph and Jackson Dyke, Victoria and John Michael Sheeley, Adelyn, Cash and Coleton Carter, Kalee Jones and Raynie Nicholson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Lynn Crawford, Wilmer Ray and Gloria Crawford of Pineville, La.; nephews, Allen Crawford Jr., Mike Crawford, Jamie (Sharon) Crawford, Ken Thompson; niece, Wendy Lee Blocker; mother-in-law, Iris Nicholson; brother-in-law, Roy (Barbara) Nicholson; sister-in-law, Lee (Tim) Hall.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sandy Nicholson will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 2 p .m. at Union Baptist Church in Griffin. Pastor Tim Conort and the Rev. Mike Close will officiate. Friends may visit the family Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 in Philadelphia Community Cemetery in Deville, La.
