Mr. William Harold Daniel, 77, of Thomaston, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Daniel was a native and lifelong resident of Thomaston and Upson County, born on Dec. 24, 1935, to the late Thad Daniel and Iona Cox Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was employed by the American General Life Insurance Company until his retirement in 1998 after 33 years of service.

He was a member and former president of the Thomaston Touchdown Club and was also a board member and president of the Thomaston Youth Football Association.

Mr. Daniel was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn M. Daniel; two sons, Greg (Michele) Daniel of Thomaston and Chris (Carol) Daniel of Milner; and five grandchildren, Tatum Daniel, Will Daniel, Kyle Daniel, Drew Daniel and Gracie Daniel.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel were held on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Mark Fordham, the Rev. John Raybon, the Rev. Benny Tate and the Rev. Bill Barber officiated and burial was in South View Cemetery.

Helen Annette Boswell, 84, of Forest Park, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

She was born in Statham, Ga., to Beaman Jackson and Pearline Pannell Mobley. Ms. Boswell devoted her life to following the teachings of Christ.

Ms. Boswell is survived by her children, Tammy Paal, Greenfield, Ind., Catherine Boswell, Forest Park, Ga., Ammon Boswell, Hapeville, Ga., Herman Blair Boswell, Stone Mountain, Ga.; sisters, Grace Smith, Monroe, Ga., and Dorothy Garrison, Monroe, Ga.; grandchildren, Andrea Paal, Jeff Paal, Steve West, Angie West, Christina Boswell, Casey Boswell, Sabrina Boswell, Amber Hope Boswell, Tiffany Boswell, and Brittany Boswell; plus many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and Christian friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Herman Paul Boswell; her parents, Beaman Jackson and Pearline Mobley; her sons, Douglas Boswell, and Albert Boswell; and her brothers, Harold and Julian Mobley.

Mrs. Regna “Peggie” Hill Allen, 85, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Allen was born May 12, 1927, to the late George Hill and the late Amy Strickland Hill.

Survivors include her husband of 67 ½ years, Tommie Allen; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Redding Clark, Amy and Donnie Waller, Rhonda Huckaby and Johnny Walston and Lyn and Lawrence Puckett; son and daughter-in-law, Tommie Sr. and Peggy Allen; grandchildren, Miranda Waller, Meredith and Jack Truitt III, Rodney Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Russell Wilson, Brian Allen, Tommy Allen Jr., Jeremy and Ashley Huckaby, Joy Martin, Kerri Casper, Tina Puckett, Valarie and Andrew Whitton; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bobby D. Hill, 65, of Pilot Point, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

Mr. Hill was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 10, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Hill and Frances Higgins; sister, Janice Kelley; brothers, Jimmy Hill and Glen Hill. Mr. Hill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sylvia Martin on May 5, 1989 in Pilot Point, TX. Mr. Hill was Director of Loss Prevention for Sally Beauty Company. He was a member of Grace Crossing Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Hill of Pilot Point, TX; daughters, Donna Goings and husband, David of Woodstock, GA, Beth Akin of Griffin, GA; sons, Chad Miller of Pilot Point, TX, Chris Miller and wife, Nature of Pilot Point, TX, Kevin Hill of Lawrence, GA; 11 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Bobby D. Hill will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery.
