Marilyn J. Marshall, 62, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Marilyn was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 30, 1950. She is preceded in death by mother, Jean Crowell Jackson step father, Simmon Crowell; step mother, Jean Reeves; grandmother, Emma Shackleford; step grandfather, “Shack” Shackleford; grandfathers, Harry Collier and J.L. “Pappy” Reeves;. Marilyn was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, Chase Marshall; father, Billy Reeves; brother, Billy Reeves, Jr.; niece, Shaina Reeves; nephew, Jarrett Reeves.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery. Chaplin Cynthia will officiate. Those desiring may make contributions to The Salvation Army, 725 Meriwether Street, Griffin, GA 30224.

Ms. Quanna Lynn Arnold, 54, of Thomaston, died Jan. 17, 2013, at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta.

Ms. Arnold was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Thomaston to Vera Nixon Dupree and the late Rosco Pollard. She worked in the pool industry in retail sales. Ms. Arnold was a member of Holy Ground Worship Center.

Survivors include her son, Mr. Bryan Morris, of Thomaston; mother, Mrs. Vera Nixon Dupree, of Thomaston; sisters, Mrs. Angela (Darrell) Evans, of Thomaston, Mrs. Becky (Randy) Harris, of Griffin, and Mrs. Teresa (Wayne) Compton, of The Rock; and fiance, Mr. Charles Morris, of Thomaston.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m.
