Mr. Miles was born Aug. 13, 1971, in Opelika, Ala., to Rita Johnson Fales and the late William David Miles Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Miles; and grandparents, the Rev. Rabon Johnson and Abram and Leila Miles. Mr. Miles was employed by 1888 Mills.
Survivors include one son, Dakota Miles; mother and step-father, Rita and James Fales of Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Tracie Miles of Griffin; sister, Shondila Hearn of Opelika, Ala.; step-brother, James Fales of Winter Haven, Fla.; grandmother, Helen Johnson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bill Miles were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Luke officiated. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
