Leading the Lady Jags were: Stephanie Estrada (22:56) in seventh, Blair Dunaway (23:53) in 10th, LiAnn Harris (24:27) in 13th, Emma Johnston (24:45) in 15th, Alisha Jordan (PR 25:30) in 21st, May Melton Geiger (28:14) in 42nd and Grenisha Daniel (29:34) in 52nd.
“I was very impressed with how the girls stepped up and ran as a team today,” said SHS coach Dolores Owen. “These were not their best times, but it was a good performance team wise. We are really banged up on the girls side. Lianne Harris has a hurt leg, Stephanie Estrada a swollen ankle, Grenisha Daniel the flu, but all ran with a lot of heart today for their team.”
Medal winners for the girls were: Estrada, Dunaway, Harris, Johnston, and Jordan.
Rounding out the rest of the top four teams in the girls division were LaGrange in second followed in order by Meadowcreek and Locust Grove.
Leading the Jags were: Benjamin Parker (PR 17:22) in fifth, Bret Piland (19:26) in 19th, Ryan Silvis (19:30) in 20th, Daniel Blake (19:41) in 23rd, Christian Gray (PR 19:56) in 29th, Evan Davis (20:17) in 32nd and Jon Eady (20:16) in 33rd. Medal winners included Parker, Piland, Silvis and Daniel.
Our Boys team had a good run today,” said Owen.
In the boys division, LaGrange won while Shiloh finished runner-up and Locust Grove was fourth.
