A birth certificate must be presented at sign-ups. The age control date is the player’s age as of Sept. 1, 2012. Any youth registering must be accompanied by their parent or guardian and all prospective players must be weighed at registration.
Cost for the tackle leagues, ages 7-12, are $90 each, while the Flag Football league, for ages 5-6, is $60. This registration fee also includes a $10 per player “user fee.” A limited amount of partial scholarships will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

LAMONT HAMM MEMORIAL FOOTBALL CAMP

FUMC BASKETBALL CAMP
Griffin First United Methodist Church is offering a basketball camp from 9 a.m. until noon on July 16-19.

JUMPING JOE WARD’S BASKETBALL CAMP
Former Griffin High and NBA standout “Jumpin” Joe Ward Sr., will conduct a free youth basketball camp for boys and girls ages 4-18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. July 16-20 at Spalding High School. Originally the camp was broken into two age groups, the first which was to have camp July 9-12. But because of a scheduling conflict, campers of all age groups will meet during the original dates for the second session.

SHOOTING SPORTS CAMPS
From July 16-20 in Mansfield, Ga., campers between the ages of 13-15 will spend five days at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center developing skills in shooting sports, fishing, birding, hiking and more.
