The price is $8 per person. Kickoff on Friday between the Region 4-AAAA Div. B champion Bears (8-1) and the Region 4-AAAA Div. A fourth-place Golden Eagles (1-8) is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets at the gate will also be $8.
With a win Friday, No. 6 state-ranked Griffin will qualify for the opening round of the Class AAAA state playoffs next week and in the process extend its school-record streak of consecutive state playoff appearances to 12 in a row — all under the direction of 12th-year Bears head coach Steve DeVoursney.
TURKEY TROT:
Young Life Griffin will hold its 10th annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Wyomia Tyus Park in Griffin.
Entry fee, which includes a T-shirt, is $15 for those who register by Nov. 15. Thereafter, fee is $20. Race-day registration is from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
