Quendarious “Bingo” Williams ran for three second-half touchdowns to lead the Faith Christian Academy Lions football team to a 38-12 homecoming game victory Saturday against the winless Dominion Christian Knights in independent 8-man football at Griffin Christian’s Nix Field.

The Lions (2-2) won their second game in a row to improve to .500 on the season.

Patrick Berg posted FCA’s first touchdown on a 3-yard run with 8:04 left to play in the first quarter for the 8-0 lead. Fullback Vincent Blackmon staked the Lions to a 16-0 lead minutes later on a 35-yard touchdown run with 4:40 left to play in the first.

The Lions got down to the one-foot line on a long run by Blackmon on their next drive and were poised to take a three touchdown lead when penalties took their toll. That left the Lions without anything to show for their efforts as Dominion scored on a 30-yard TD pass minutes into the second quarter to cut FCA’s lead to 10 points, 16-6, which stood to the half.

The second half belonged to Williams, who first scored on a fake punt which he ran 57 yards for a touchdown with 1:30 left to play in the third quarter. Williams then added fourth-quarter touchdown runs of 55 and 72 yards, icing the game with 6:16 left in regulation.

The Knights tallied the game’s final score by returning the ensuing kickoff 65 yards for a score with 6:00 left to play.
