Shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Griffin police responded to a residence on Edgewood Avenue in reference to a burglary, according to an incident report by the Griffin Police Department (GPD).

When officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with the 33-year-old female victim, who stated that she had returned from a vacation to discover a window of her home broken and her residence entered.

The victim reportedly did not notice anything missing at first but later discovered that about $300 worth of groceries were missing from her refrigerator.
