The football game between Georgia Tech and the University of Miami last Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium was tied after regulation. On its first possession in overtime, the Yellow Jackets faced fourth and inches and decided to go for it. The attempt failed, ultimately leading to the Hurricanes scoring a touchdown and winning the game.

Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson was watching the game, and when the key moment of the game arrived, he thought to himself, “Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a (phone) app where fans could say ‘Go for it’ or ‘Don’t go for it?'"

It was only one reference Peterson made to the importance of technology when he spoke to the Rotary Club of Griffin Thursday at the Griffin Country Club.
