According to investigators a 15-year-old female, two 17-year-old males and a 15-year-old male were found at the residence and the 15-year-old female had engaged in sexual conduct with 17-year-old, Moses Mayes and the 15-year-old male juvenile.

Mayes, of Pecan Point, Griffin, has been charged with statutory rape and criminal trespass. The 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with fornication.

The other 17-year-old male, Justin J. Goddard of Tyler Trail, Griffin, has been charged with criminal trespass. The 15-year-old female juvenile has been charged with runaway, fornication and criminal trespass.

The two 17-year-olds were two of several Griffin High School football players suspended Friday night for two games for “unspecified disciplinary reasons.”

I think that davidmorris2002 is right. People will air out a childs dirty laundry just for the sake of a story. I agree that though it may not be right, this kind of stuff happens all the time these kids just happen to have gotten caught. And let me just say I know Moses personally and he is not a bad kid. He is a growing boy and at some point we all had sex, he just got caught. And for Hadtosayit... His mother works with my dad, and she is a great parent... he is a growing 17 yr. old boy, I think it safe to say she can't always know his where abouts.. Geeez, I pray that everything works out in all of their favor..

Shame on you Griffin Daily News. Griffin is a small community. Why would you embarrass Griffin High, and the city by reporting this incident. I think you guys will put anything in the paper for the sake of a good story. Things like this happen. All dirty laundry doesn't have to be aired out. If Ray Lightner wants to report information like this, let him do it in another town's paper. Not in my city!

It's a shame these young people would do this. Parents you need to know where your children are at all times.
