Christopher Gray Casting, a casting company headquartered in Los Angeles with an office in Atlanta, is having an open casting call Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Event Center on North Expressway.

The company is looking for extras in the TV show Rectify, for which filming will begin Monday in Griffin, and welcomes males and females of all ages. Those chosen will be paid and fed for their involvement in the filming.

Asked if locals need to meet certain requirements to become an extra in the show, Christopher Gray Casting Associate Chris Gonzalez said people should fit the “Griffin style,” as the show is trying to re-create the Griffin look for the camera.

While no speaking roles are being sought for the show that stars Abigail Spencer, Clayne Crawford and Aden Young, “something may come up,” Gonzalez said.

Those unable to attend the open casting call Sunday should email a photo of themselves along with their contact information, to cgcastingatlanta@gmail.com.

Christopher Gray Casting has been involved with many Hollywood productions, such as “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” “Seven Pounds,” and “Miami Vice.” Its featured TV shows include “Memphis Beat,” “Barbershop” and HBO’s “Luck.”

It would have been nice for the casting company to inform folks that they would NOT be working in Griffin. Serious lack of information.

Would you be so kind as to clarify what "Griffin style" is? And exactly what is the "Griffin look"?

To answer your question about what someon who looks Griffin style would be, first we would have to pay someone tp study it. Then we would have to select a board to look at it. Then we would have to vote on it in a SPLOST. Once that was done we would have to wait years until it was finished. Once that was done we would have to have an ordinance to allow it. Then we would have to pay fees to do it. Then would come the legal fees to defend it. A corridor to move it in would be next. Then finally we would know what Griffin style is. But by then it would have moved to Henry County or Fayetteville County so then it wouldn't be Griffin style any more. So there.........
