The Griffin Board of Commissioners today is once again scheduled to consider the $10,000 funding request from the Spalding County Collaborative for Families and Children.

The city removed from the table, discussed then tabled again the request last month in order to get an opinion on the request from City Attorney Drew Whalen.

Last month he told the board, “The city can’t give away money without the authorization to do so, It’s probably not a permissible transaction.”
