The Southside Riders Association will hold its annual Toy Run on Saturday.

The 13th Annual Marie Ussery Toy Run starts and ends at Buffalo’s Southwest Cafe on Georgia Highway 16 in Griffin. The funds raised from the poker run and auction afterward will be used to buy gifts for children in foster care.

“We’d like to have as many as we can show up,” said Southside Riders President Mark Barnhouse. “The more money we make, the more kids we can provide for.”

The poker run costs $10 a hand and starts and ends at Buffalo’s, with three other stops.

“It’s about 100 miles,” Barnhouse said.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m., with the first bikes leaving at 11 a.m. He said all bikes must be back by 4 p.m.

There’s also an auction at 6 p.m. at Buffalo’s with “some neat stuff,” Barnhouse said, including an iPod, two bikes, a grill and a firepit. There’s also a 50/50 drawing.

For more information on the Toy Run, call Barnhouse at 770-843-5228.
