Throughout the morning, while the fair was still closed for other visitors, students went to scooters, merry-go-rounds and other attractions — supported by teachers, parents and other volunteers.
“They have such a good time. They were so excited this morning,” said GSCS Assistant Superintendent Denise Burrell, who visited with special needs students in their classroom before they headed to the fair, then met them a little later again at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds. “They look forward to this every year.”
